Motel’s History

The Scenic View was built originally in the late 1950’s.  Bought in the mid-80’s by the Seays, it has been well upgraded throughout the past 30 years.  The name alone describes the motel setting as well as Bryson City.  This is evident if sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the porch or patio watching the sunrise.  The view consists of looking straight into the distant mountains where the highest peak in the Smokies, Clingman’s Dome is visible.  From the patio the Tuckasegee River as well as the Great Smoky Mountains Railway is visible.
